8LA assisted SWELL Sculpture Festival Directors in developing a COVID Safe Management Plan for the 2020 SWELL. In the time leading up to the Festival, there were concerns it would have to be cancelled, however, through mapping and analysis of previous numbers of patrons using the space, circulation, artwork placement and user dynamics, a series of management plans were produced that supported the State Government approval of this cultural event. Within the constantly changing metrics of COVID, the team remained adaptable as guidance changed on operational, safety and social distancing issues.
