Landscape, urban design and ecological restoration frameworks were established in the initial bid phase and carried through to detailed design and construction. Challenges included extensive PUP coordination, retention and relocation of existing trees, and developing a range of pavement conditions, edge restraint types and visual cues in lieu of barriers throughout the route. This included considerations of macro graphics to break up large expanses of pavement and improve legibility in the depot landscape.
