Summary:
A multipurpose outdoor recreation space to support a grant application for a diverse user group at Granite Belt Support Services.
Granite Belt Support Services provide community facilities and activities for patrons with special needs. To support a Gaming Grant Funding Application, 8LA was commissioned to develop a concept plan and costing for a new all-age outdoor recreation area. This area significantly expands the range of physical and stimulating activities for patrons including a ball sports area, core communications board, productive gardens, wild area, multi-purpose grassy common, and staff area. The aim is to provide sensory stimulation in a range of external spaces for group activities that create variety for participants as well as quiet areas for contemplation and relaxation.
