Summary:
8LA formed part of the D and C team with Peddle Thorp Architects and Paynters, Managing Contractor. The team partnered with the City of Gold Coast, to upgrade and expand the Albert Waterways Community Centre and Life Education Centre to create the new Broadbeach Community Precinct.
The project aimed to improve integration and accessibility with other existing community infrastructure including the library and surrounding public parkland, creating a master-planned cultural precinct with dance and performance spaces, art hub, and office spaces within a parkland setting.
