Summary:
This project introduced a bespoke tasting facility, visitor centre and restaurant on the Balancing Heart Winery at Stanthorpe. 8LA worked with Shaun Lockyer Architects to bed the building into the landscape overlooking the existing dam with views back over the vineyard to the extensive granite rock outcrops. Site character protection was paramount, as was capturing views and vistas, grounding the building in the landscape and providing safe and equitable access while separating kids from the dam.
